(Just a bit)
About Me
A job as a contract blogger, fresh out of college with a creative writing degree, started me down the path of marketing and brand leadership in 2017.
Since then, I've established people-friendly digital marketing strategies for companies in a variety of industries to grow relationships (not just revenue) with B2B and B2C audiences.
I also read, try to garden, and dote on my two cats.

Building materials
Product Launch
Integrated Marketing Campaign | HubSpot Marketing & CMS Hubs
Objective: Create buzz around an innovative new product and drive customers to get certified on a novel installation method.
It can be hard to change behaviors from the way it’s always been done—but it helps if you explain why.
I created the digital elements of a launch campaign that told the story of this innovative product, which started with a video mailer that led to a microsite built on the HubSpot CMS. Using automated marketing emails, social media, sales email templates, and more, I created a campaign to certify our customer base on the new product. Then, I developed campaigns-in-a-box for our channel partners so they could spread the word with us.

Medical device
Content Strategy
Content Marketing | SEO
Objective: Educate chiropractors on the benefits of a premium technology-enabled device with outstanding patient outcomes and build the brand’s reputation as a source of industry expertise.
I worked with a distributor of a high-end medical device for chiropractic and physical therapy practices to educate their personas on the unique selling points and improved treatments of their product, as well as to generate organic traffic to their website. I developed a 10x content page and supporting blogs, then configured the site’s internal linking to create a topic cluster. To this day, this page and the distributor’s site is the top organic search result for their target short- and long-tail keywords.

Copywriting | Ecommerce
“[Serena is] so smart.”
—My mom
Objective: Create a stylish Square website to enable online ordering for customers of a local cafe.
With bubble tea exploding in popularity across the United States, my family’s boutique cafe needed a website that shared their story and excited customers.
I created a lightweight Square site that would be easy to maintain and represent Cafe Boba’s quirky and welcoming brand, while offering a simplified online ordering experience to boost product awareness and drive sales.
